Presentation of Charity Cheques

"This morning Saturday 23rd April 2016 at Lodge Balgonie the Provincial Grand Master welcomed into the Lodge the Deputy Lord Lieutenant Mrs Evelyn Crombie, The Provost of Fife Mr Jim Leishman and representatives of the organisations who were to benefit from the proceeds of the fundraising activities undertaken to commemorate the 270th Anniversary of the PGL of Fife and Kinross.

The morning was full of joy tinged with emotion and we were privileged to hear some very moving stories from the recipients from across our Province.

One of the recipients the Guide Dogs for the Blind through the kind offices of their fundraiser Mike Reid who has raised £4000 of the £5000 required to sponsor a new Puppy has given the Province the honour to name the new puppy.

The morning was started with a very nice welcome from the PGM who paid tribute to the sub committee who led on the fundraising activities and to Lodge Balgonie for the lovely spread that they laid on for our guests. The morning was ended with a touching tribute to the various organisations from the Deputy Lord Lieutenant Mrs Evelyn Crombie and her thanks to the Brethren of the Province for their efforts raising this fantastic amount."
