Lodge Tay Union No.273
Lodge Tay Union No.273 celebrated 200 years of Freemasonry on Saturday 12th May 2018 with a rededication ceremony within the Blyth Hall Newport. The ceremony of rededication commenced by the Lodge being opened by I.P.M. Bro. Alistair Moulds who then welcomed into the Lodge a deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Fife and Kinross who were headed by the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master Bro. Stewart Quigley.
After formal introductions was made the deputation from the Grand Lodge of Scotland was introduced by Grand Director of Ceremonies Bro. William H. (Bud) Gauld, who introduced the head of the deputation Right Worshipful Depute Grand Master Bro. Ewan Rutherford.
The ceremony of rededication then commenced led by Right Worshipful Depute Grand Master Bro. Ewan Rutherford assisted by Grand Chaplain and under the direction of Grand Director of Ceremonies.
After the ceremony of rededication the Right Worshipful Substitute Grand Master Bro. Hugh Clelland rededicated the regalia of the R.W.M of Lodge Tay Union. The deputation of the Grand Lodge of Scotland then retired, the emblem of authority was then presented to Bro. Stewart Quigley Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master who thanked Lodge Tay Union for the very enjoyable day that had be enjoyed by all present. He thanked all the Brethren from within the Province of Fife and Kinross for their attendance and especially thanked the Brethren who had travelled from out with the Province of Fife and Kinross especially those from England and Wales for their attendance.
After the meeting of rededication a very fine dinner was enjoyed followed by the usual toasts.
