The Lodge of Kirkcaldie No.72

Regular meeting of The Lodge of Kirkaldie No.72 on Tuesday 18th of December 2018 was the occasion of the annual Andrew Haggart lecture. The lecture given by Bro. Frank Rennie P.M was a sojourn through the 360 plus years of the history of the Lodge and his own interpretation of the secrets.

At the end of the lecture New gavels were presented to the Lodge by Bro Stuart Michie, P.M which are to replace the existing gavels which have been in use for many years and will be retired to the display cabinet.

Bro Hugh Clelland P.M was presented with his Past Substitute Grand Master’s regalia by Bro Paul Batchelor I.P.M who was standing in for the Master and Bro Stewart Quigley Provincial Grand Master. On presenting the regalia to him Bro. Paul Batchelor gave a short resume of Bro. Hugh Clelland's Masonic career and what he has done for his Lodge, his province and the wider Masonic fraternity.

A small deputation from Lodge Buchan St. John No.636 with which the Lodge of Kirkcaldie No.72 have an association were in attendance.

The collection was taken up enhanced and will be donated to a local charity.
