Lodge Balcarres No.1240

The centenary celebrations of Lodge Balcarres No.1240 took place on Saturday 13 November 2021, when a deputation from the Grand Lodge of Scotland headed by Past Substitute Grand Master Brother Hugh Clelland performed the ceremony of rededication.

after opening the Lodge, Master Brother Brian Hamilton welcomed, first a deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Fife and Kinross headed by Provincial Grand Master Brother Stewart Quigley, then the deputation from the Grand Lodge of Scotland, headed by Past Substitute Grand Master Brother Hugh Clelland into the Lodge, saying that it was a great privilege for him as Master to welcome the deputations into his mother Lodge on this the occasion of the centenary rededication.

The ceremony of rededication was carried out in a friendly and most efficient manner. Afterwards the Brethren enjoyed a buffet and short harmony. Present at the ceremony were Brother Sandy Sutherland Past Master who served the Lodge as Master during the 50 year Celebration, Brother Tom Carstairs Past Master who served the Lodge as Master during the 75 year Celebration.
