Lodge Earl Haig No.1260 25th March 2015

On Wednesday 25th March 2015 the Provincial Grand Master led a deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Fife and Kinross to Lodge Earl Haig No.1260 on the evening of the regular meeting of the Lodge. After a very warm welcome from the Right Worshipful Master Bro. Derek Reekie and the Brethren the Provincial Grand Master carried out the ceremony of Dedicating a New Jewel for the Right Worshipful Master as well as a marvelous new Gavel which had been made and presented to the Lodge by WSW Bro. John Heron.

The RWM and Office-Bearers of the Lodge then worked an exemplification of the 1st or Entered Apprentice Degree, when Bro. Mark Ferguson WSW of Lodge Balfour Melville No.809 stood in as the substitute candidate.

After the Degree work of the evening had been completed the Brethren witnessed Bro. William Cooper Michie Past Master being presented to the RWM and PGM by his son Bro. Gordon William Michie Past Master to be presented with a Jubilee Certificate to mark sixty years of service by Bro. William Michie PM to Lodge Earl Haig No.1260.

Bro. Gordon Michie PM gave an excellent oration marking his Fathers journey through his Masonic Career prior to the presentation being made. Bro. William Michie then gave a suitable reply.

Bro. Gordon William Michie PM was then presented to the RWPGM Bro. Andrew Paterson who presented him with his certificate of completion to mark him completing his visits to the forty-nine Lodges, within the province of Fife and Kinross under the forty-niner initiative organised by Lodge Coupar o' Fife No.19.
