Annual Visit to Lodge St. Adrian No.185, 18th November 2013

On Monday the 18th of November 2013 the Provincial Grand Lodge of Fife and Kinross made their Annual Visit on behalf of the Grand Lodge of Scotland to Lodge St. Adrian No.185 in the village of Pittenweem in the East Neuk of Fife.

On this occasion the Deputation was led by the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master Bro. Rev Andrew Eadie Paterson JP, with the business of Provincial Grand Loge being conducted by Worshipful Substitute Provincial Grand Master Bro. Bill Rocks.

The RWM of Lodge St. Adrian warmly welcomed the Deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge into the Lodge and intimated to the Provincial Grand Master that on this occasion the Lodge had been privileged with a visit from Brother Gordon Comrie from Warren Lodge No.310, Collegeville, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States of America.

Brother Comrie who's Grandfather had been born in Crieff and then worked as a Blacksmith in Pittenweem, had been initiated into Lodge St. Adrian No.185 in the year 1893 and shortly afterwards emigrated to the United States of America where he worked as a Blacksmith in the Shipyards of New York and Pennsylvania. Brother Comrie gave a short address to the Brethren giving a short history of his Grandfather and stated that it was a great and emotional feeling to be welcomed into his Grandfathers Mother Lodge.

The Degree work this evening was a FC Degree with the RWM's son Bro. John Taylor acting as Substitute Candidate.
