PGL January Communication
Brother Stewart Quigley Provincial Grand Master presided over the Statutory Communication of Provincial Grand Lodge of Fife and Kinross on Saturday 29 January 2022. This was the first communication held since January 2020 following the enforced closure of Masonic meetings due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Brother Quigley warmly welcomed all present to the communication stating it was good to get back to meeting again.
As usual at the January Communication the elected office bearers of the Provincial Grand Lodge were elected and installed into their various offices. The Installation of office bearers was carried out by Substitute Provincial Grand Masters Brother Ian Cockburn who obligated them and Brother Lawrence Cooper who installed them into their office.
The members of Provincial Grand Board of Stewards and Committee were welcomed and thanked for taking on their responsibilities by Substitute Provincial Grand Master Brother Mike McAdams.
Four Brethren from the Province were awarded with Honorary Grand Rank.
- Brother Andrew Hall Past Master of Lodge Kinneddar No.1239 was awarded Honorary Assistant Grand Treasurer.
- Brother Iain Cougan Past Master of Lodge Tay Union No.273 was awarded Honorary Grand Senior Chaplain.
- Brother Iain Mather Past Master of Lodge St. Michael No.246 was awarded Honorary Assistant Grand Secretary
- Brother Rankin Clarkson Past Master of Lodge St. John No.540 was awarded Honorary Assistant Grand Secretary
Two Brethren were then awarded with Honorary Provincial Grand Rank.
- Brother Bill Erskine Master Mason of Lodge Torrie No.1141 was awarded Honorary Provincial Grand Architect.
- Brother Harry Anderson Past Master of Lodge Ballingry No.1183 was awarded Honorary Provincial Grand Steward.
The Provincial Grand Master presented each of these Brethren with their neck jewel and certificate, making reference to the service each had given to their Lodges and to Freemasonry. Each of the Brethren suitably replied.
