Lodge Castle Dour No.1276
The installation of Brother Alan Rudland and his Office-bearers was held this morning Saturday 09 April 2022, within the Masonic temple Inverkeithing. Prior to the ceremony of Installation the outgoing Master Brother Ian Gillespie presented cheques to the value of £10k each to the sponsor lodges, Lodge St John No.60 Inverkeithing and Lodge Dunearn No.400, which were gratefully received by the respective Masters, Brother Steven Archibald, Lodge St. John No.60 and Brother Ross Hunter Lodge Dunearn No.400, and also a similar sum presented to Substitute Provincial Grand Master Brother Mike McAdams for the use of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Fife and Kinross specifically to support brethren and Lodges within the Province.
Brother Grant Kavanagh then very ably installed Brother Rudland into the Chair of his mother Lodge 21 years after his first time. The Office-bearers were then installed into their respective offices by Brother Kavanagh.
Before the meeting closed two further donations of £1276 were made to the Benevolent Fund of the Grand Lodge of Scotland and the Scottish Masonic Homes Fund and a suitable donation to VArthritis to support the forthcoming sponsored efforts of the IPM when he takes on the challenge of the Great North Run.
An enjoyable buffet lunch was thereafter enjoyed by the brethren.
